functions terms & conditions
For exclusive use of one of our function areas there is a $100.00 booking fee. A deposit of $10.00 per person is required. We require this amount to be paid upon booking. This amount will be refunded at the end of your function. If for any reason, there is a cancellation within 14 days of your function, the deposit will be withheld.
Confirmation
Within 14 days of original reservation, payment of deposit is to be received along with a signed copy of these terms and conditions. Management reserves the right to cancel the booking and allocate the venue to another client, if confirmation is not received.
Menus
Menus must be finalised 14 days prior to your function. This ensures the highest quality and availability of produce. Vegetarian options are available and dietary requirements will be met upon request. We are happy to substitute other menu choices for your function, within reason.
Final Numbers
Anticipated numbers are requested 14 days prior. Final numbers are required 7 days prior. This number will represent the minimum for which you will be charged.
Prices
Prices are subject to change as a result of seasonality and fluctuation in cost prices.
Compliance
The organiser is to conduct the function in an orderly manner in full compliance with BarZaar. Management reserves the right to exclude or eject any objectionable persons from the venue without liability.
BarZaar always adheres to responsible service of alcohol laws. Minors on licenced premises are required to be under direct supervision of their parent or guardian, and are to be off the premises by midnight.
Equipment Hire
The organiser is financially responsible for any damage or breakages to equipment owned by BarZaar or sub-leased on behalf of the organiser.
Responsibility
The organiser is financially responsible for any damages or breakages sustained to BarZaar by the organiser, the organiser’s guests, invitees or persons attending the function. Any damages or extra cleaning will be deducted from your deposit. If the amount exceeds your deposit or your deposit has already been refunded, an account will be forwarded to the organiser within 7 days. BarZaar will not accept any responsibility for damage or loss of equipment left behind after the function.
Payment
All accounts are to be settled prior to or on the day of the function, unless management has approved an alternate arrangement. One account only, will be issued for food and beverages on the day of the function. We accept all major credit cards and debit cards. Personal cheques are not accepted unless approved by management prior to the function.
Cancellations
Functions cancelled within 2 weeks of the booking will result in loss of deposit or booking fee.
Cleaning
General cleaning is included in the cost of all functions. However, if excessive cleaning is required after your function, additional charges will be incurred.
Bookings
Tentative bookings are not secure until a deposit is paid. Bookings made tentatively will only be held for a maximum of 30 days.
